Privacy policy

Last updated July 2026.

1. What we collect

Browsing the public record — offices, officials, services, projects, and the federal registry — does not require an account and collects no personal information beyond standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) used for security and reliability.

2. Complaints and reviews

When you submit a complaint or review, we collect what you provide: a category, description, optional location, and an optional name and contact detail. Your name defaults to "Anonymous" unless you choose to provide one. Contact details, if given, are used only to follow up on the submission and are never shown publicly.

3. Staff and editor accounts

Office staff and editors provide a username and, where applicable, name and role information used to manage access and attribute edits within the admin panel. This information is visible to other authenticated staff, not to the public.

4. How information is used

Submitted complaints and reviews are routed to the relevant office to be addressed, and approved reviews are published against the office, service, or project they concern. Aggregate, non-identifying statistics (such as average ratings or ticket volumes) may be published.

5. Sharing

Information is not sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. It may be shared with the specific government office responsible for resolving a complaint, or disclosed where required by law.

6. Access logs

Access to administrative functions is logged for security auditing, including the account used, timestamp, and outcome of the request. These logs are retained for a limited period and are accessible only to platform administrators.

7. Data retention

Public records (offices, officials, services, projects) are retained as part of the historical public record. Complaint and review submissions are retained for as long as needed to resolve the matter and maintain an accurate public history.

8. Your choices

You may submit a complaint or review without providing any contact information. If you have provided contact details and would like them removed, contact the office that received your submission.

9. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in the platform or applicable law. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date below.
